    Hair algae on spiky moss

    Had few piece of mesh with spiky moss but it seem to have hair algae outbreak. Anyway to remove totally I tried e tooth brush method but it grow back. Can I soak my whole mesh in Concentrated excel or bleach

    Hi,

    try putting some yamatos into the tank. Works for me every time I have hair algae on moss.

    Soaking your mesh of spiky moss in a solution of concentrated of bleach or Excel will kill of the algae, that's for sure, and your moss as well.

    That's not the surest way of getting rid of algae, either manually remove the hair algae by using a toothbrush to twirl the hair algae or get some yamatoes as advised in the earlier reply.

    Answer is NO!

    Cos I have over 50 cherries and 7 yamato in my 2ft tank.

    Myself, Amano shrimps hunt for Otocinlus. My setting was 2 feet, 20 yamato and three oto.
