    Hi, i have a 3ft Hopar T5HO set, can i replace T5HO tube with Normal T5 tube?

The T5HO tube is 39w 10000k, Normal T5 tube is how many watts & "k"?

    Thanks

If I recall correctly, T5 tubes come in prefixed wattages depending on its length

    2 foot ones are 24w
    3 foot ones are 39w
    4 foot ones are 54w

One difference are the kelvins, 10000k ones are whitish, 6500k are yellowish.

As for T5 & T5HO I think they're the same, HO just stands for High Output.

So the light-set is the same, the only different is the tubes T5 or T5HO?

yes you can, make sure you get the T5 High Output, not the T5 High Efficiency, which is less wattage for the same length.

light fitting shops sell branded made in EU tubes eg Osram, Sylvannia tubes cheaper than the made in china "aquarium use" tubes.

There are good quality, plant use T5HO tubes but i never seen them in Singapore. Its a conspiracy against planters.

    the color temp available are
    warm white - 2700-3000k
    daylight - 6500k
    cool white - 8000-10000k

depends on your usage, the warms are good for flowering stage (and algae), the daylights are good for vegetative stage ie general planted tanks and the cools are used mainly by the marine tanks hobbyist together with the actinic lights.
