    Hi People,

Like to know from those with experience in Congo Tetra, how long or to what size will they grow before they show their best colouration?

Mine are 1~1.5", long time more to go?

I agree at roughly 2 inches... I've a school of 10 which I bought at about 1 inch... of those, 8 are still quite colorless but the larger 2 are now showing a distinct orangy shiny streak in the middle.[]

They are omnivorous, meaning they may attack shrimps if they find them to be possible snacks.. Males grow to 8cm and females to 6cm.

Seems like they prefer slightly acidic, soft waters.

I have read that Congo tetra will display more colour in dimmer tanks.

Why not give them shades so that they think that they are in a dimmer tank?[]
