Anyone seen or had this type of fungi before? No problems for 6months or more, I went on holiday and come back to this stuff on my woods. Any ideas for getting rid of it? I took all wood out and scrubbed but after one day the fuzz is back. It's like stiff little brushes.
Whitespots on woods are fungus thing.

Those are most likely BBA(black beard algae), you can take out the wood or lower the water till wood expose, use either H2O2 or wood vinegar, apply directly onto the wood, leave it for 5-10mins and it should turn maroon colour, Amano shrimp/SAE will clear them fast.

From the picture, the plant mass is not enough and most of it is slow intake plant. Cause of it to happen could be during your holiday, you did not cut down the photoperiod, while at this time there's no nutrients supply and photoperiod still the same, you'll get algae attack. For such a big tank, 2 nano(<900l/hr) wavemaker at both side corner would be ideal, just a suggestion, that would kill death spots.

I went for holiday for 10 day but i dont get algae attack as i cut down my photoperiod to 4hrs from 8.5hrs. Here's my tank after my holiday. Plant grew wild.

This is BBA. Take the wood out. Dont brush. Just pour boiling hot water on it. Tank should be fine only after you remove the algae manually.
