    Hi..

My 3ft tank centre bracing just broke off at the silicon area, can i use silicon to glue it back or have to change a new tank?

In the meantime, what precautions should i take (will it burst open??)

Time to change your tank is the tank full of water? if so the change is you won't be able to glue back because the tank is warp at the center. Your center bracing glass will be too short .

you should lower the water level so that the tank wall does not 'bow'. this reduces the chances that the glass will crack under pressure.
you can try using silicone but you'll need to clean the joining area.
