Do you mean royal whiptail? You can try Qian Hu. I have seen them on sale almost every time i went there. But that is provided you are willing to accept very small and drab ones at a ridiculous price.

they're the common sturisoma aureum/festivum. You missed out on a large batch of wild ones. I believe last week or the week before there were 10+ pieces in.

Okay... I think a couple of months back, there was this interesting black whiptail cat at 328... not sure the exact name or species...

I am actually looking for the more interesting ones to try... but in the absence of availability, the normal ones will do... Wonder if auntie can help order them in...

The Rineloricaria sp. that genes posted? I've asked before, auntie said she can't order, it's all subject to availability. I got myself 4 pieces of that black/grey whiptail. It grows really fast and isn't so much an algae eater as it is a ground forager. They grow really quick too. I lost 2 pieces during a power failure. Am looking for more myself too as and when they're available

edit: here's the link of gene's photo http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...=rineloricaria - I think this picture by genes' was the trigger for me to start exploring suckermouths!

Do take note that they get less black and more grey as they grow larger.

Was just at c328 today, saw some very large whiptail catfish there - dont know the names. Brown in color, I think - at least to my eyes.
