I think if you fabricate your own LED lights for your Tank, not only you can save alot and be really eco friendly. I am now planning to use Solar Panels to Charge battery cause i only on the Lights at night.

The LED panel is from Taiwan.

Base on the 8 LED i have installed and a Lux meter the specification is:

Total 8 LED modules (6 LED/Module)
7000k
Total 4320lumens using a lux meter at 1ft height

Voltage 12V
Watt 11W

I got the LEDs from my companie's supplier in Taiwan. We manufacturer Solar powered LEDs for various Eco Projects. I can assist forum member here to get some. But must collect from my house at bukit panjang, at the same time come and look at my LED planted tanks at home.
