Surface Skimmer

Hi, I would like to introduce the copied version of the surface skimmer from eheim.

Recently, I was at seaview checking out on so shuff and chance upon this equipment by Atman, yes Atman. The price was 11 plus so decided to give it a shot.

I nearly ordered the Eheim one online as I cannot find it in Singapore.

The product did not look very well build (China made.. as usual) but upon putting it into the tank and using it for a few days, I must say I'm very impress with it compare to the usual $10-$11 skimmer. I can tune the flow easily (The usual type can get jam while tuning the flow and it can cause air to enter the filter causing it to stop flowing) and clean the equipment easily too. It is not to bulky compare to the usual one.

Must say Atman did a good job in copying eheim's skimmer! For the price is really well worth it.

can i ask where did u get ur atman skimmer? I got a atman filter recently but eheim skimmer doesn't seems to wrk well on atman filter...

Atman filter cansiter seems very reliable , Chan from NA recommended me this Atman unit for he been using it for his 422 display tank nearly 5 years no break down so far. I assume that Atman is striving to be Ehiem of Asia, so Atman had been improving the quality her products well. Atman Rock!

This has being in the market for very long time ago, not that popular, too bulky, not an ideal piece in the planted tank. If you do understand the function of the surface skimmer, there's a high chance of loosing CO2 instead of helping as you're accidentally create a mini sump. Especially those people who dont border.

Eer not sure how long been in the market. But was my first time seeing it.

Bulky nope not at all, it uses the same space as my usual skimmer.

Don't think it will make me loose CO2... I have tested it for a week in my tank and I have no plans to switch it back to the usual skimmer. Eer have you actually install and try it yet?

Frankly, as this is an 100% replicate from Eheim, don't think eheim is so poor in producing something which create a mini sump.

Well what can I say.... China are expert in replication of products. Actually, when I was upgrading my filter I did consider buying a Atman 800 with eheim media using mach/and sub pro on both trays would cost me about $110... But then again, I still cannot give up Eheim (I'm the problem not Atman)!
