I too had trouble IDing plants when I started my planted tank. I got myself the Oriental PLant book (cost $10) which help me identify quite a number of plants. Futhermore, with frequent trips to Teo's even helped me even more. What I can suggest is you could get the new Oriental Plant book (cost $35~45) which I think is relatively good. This new plant book has alot more plants and info compared to the old one.
oops, took a look again and I realise there isnt any lotus.. LOL []
mandz, i already asked Keong Seng to bring in the new oriental book. perhaps they will have it next thurs. it is $35 each.

Though I must admit after months of going to teos, and constant "suaning" sherwin's plant ID has greatly improved
