How many PL lights for 2 ft tank

Hi,
I'm a newbie. Need some advice.
I'm trying to grow xmas moss and riccia, also echinodorus oriental, limophilla aromatica, microsorum pteopus, hydrocottyle verticillate in my 2 ft tank. I have a PL light. Do I need to get a 2nd PL, or should i change my pink FL (15W) to a white FL?

Hazel, in order to help, we need to know some information like the size of your tank. Calculate the volume of your tank (in gallons) by multiplying the lengthxwidthxheight of the tank (in cm) and dividing by 4000 (an estimation). In general we would recommend abt 3Watts of light per gallon of water.

Also, pinkinsh light generally means that the spectrum is biased towards the reds... as such I would advise you to change to a daylight 6500K tube.

Personally, I converted from a 2 x 15WFL to 1 x 36WPL + 1 x 15WFL. Good enough for almost all plants.

My tank is about 20 gallons.

Is there a problem with the water temperature rising too much if i use 2 PLs?

mine also 20 gallons. you need around 60W PL lights.
