C328. But try to go on stock in day as they will be snapped up fast by our fellow members.

Hi,
I used to keep apistos a long time ago but not very successful. Would like to try again.
Where would be a good place for me to buy beginner apistos like cacas? Preferably not too expensive as I'm still learning.

Well Maybe you can try buying apistogrammas from Biotope. The Apistogramma there are well fed and kept. There are also wild bred. So do check it out.
Keeping.
Apistogramma Peixoto, Agassizi 'Rio Tefe Cacadola', Agassizi 'Tefe Bauna', Bitaenita 'Rio Copea', Diplotaenia 'Barcelos', Mendenzi 'Sao Gabriel', Gibbiceps 'OrangeFace' Opal, Hippolytae, Pauciquamis 'Negro' Uauspei Blukteil, uauspei Rokteil, Elizbethae 'Sao Gabriel', Sunrise, Trifiscata 'Rio Pinmental'

Quite afew places sells apistogrammas. Biotope and C328 would be the place for more species to choose from. Especially biotope that is well stocked with some rare species. Some are wild caught too. Those from C328 are bred. Yishun aquastar also do carry cacatuoides, agassizii and viejita/macmasteri as times but sometimes, only the males are available. Do keep a lookout at our buy/sell forum for some bargains from our members.

Was at Biotope just now. They still got quite a few nice looking cacatuoides. I also saw some unknown species apistos at Y934 (think less then 1 green note).

What a coincidence...I was also there today around 6pm. Were you the one in the shop with me, carrying a styrofoam box (looks like food)?
Bought the cacas and agassizi pairs...Quite reasonable price I would say.
Thanks to everyone here for their suggestions and recommendations...

You can try out apistogramma agassizii, apistogramma trifasciata and apistogramma cacatuoides.
They are more locally available cheap and good... But as mostly are farm bred, the colours are not pretty colourful.![]()
