was going to setup another planted tank soon, so was thinking if it is possible to split the output of CO2 to 2 tanks like those used for air pumps ? If yes, do we need to double the BPS ?

I tried, it wouldn't work. In the end I got a proper co2 splitter instead.
It will be difficult to control the amount of co2 you're feeding to each tank if you use air line splitter. In most cases, it would just all go to the one with the least obstruction (in terms of pressure)

If you're using the rigid black tubing, you can go buy push-fit pneumatic fittings to split.

One of the brands I've bought is "Legris."

There is a pretty big hydraulics shop in the Kelantan lane area that should sell them.

pressurised gas/water will always flow to the path of lowest resistance. so a simple 't', 'y' or other forms will not work.
    for co2, you'll need a proper splitter.
