My female crystal red shrimps used to die after the eggs hatched. From my obervation, all happened when I was away for a few days and food supply was not regular.
Do you feed them regularly? I feed them twice a day.

Do you have moss in your tank?
If you have moss there should be food for them.
I fed my shrimps twice a week and they are healthy, no issue after egg hatched. Probably other thing that killing it.
Cherry shrimp has a life span of around 1.5years. Maybe due to age.
Twice a day is alot. Reduce feeding and let them feed on algae and moss. Healthier choice.
I feed mine once a day. But with little quantity. Enjoy watching them feasting.
My RCS have laid 3 batches of eggs but I have yet to observed any deaths of the adults
huh... my pregnant CRS just lay over and died. eggs not hatched yet. Sorry, its still moving its legs. is it supposed to go into suspended animation while eggs hatch?
Eggs hatching and shrimp dying are separate matters. Shrimps are not like some butterflies which die after laying eggs
