They will be very big by that time...
    will see how it goes.

Re-scaping big tanks are a logistically nightmare... you need just as big a container to hold the fish while you re-scape which could be a day or more. You have to keep the filter viable during that time (run it on the holding tank). Then you need to wait at least two weeks for the new tank to cycle (even with the old filter. Plus you still need to filter the holding tank during that time). Can't take chances with such big and expensive fishes.
    will only do minor rescape...

    Re: Arowana Planted tank

I've kept an arowana in a planted tank with other small fishes before, like tiger barbs, SAEs, and khuli loaches. Only one SAE was ever eaten and that was by accident (story documented in one of my posts from years ago). In a large and fully planted tank, the small fishes will be able to avoid and hide from the arowana... and not in a stressed out way. The arowana will also not bother to exert effort to eat something that is very likely to get away.

It helps that Arowana is kept well fed. In my case, I only fed with market prawns, so that it does not get used to eating live food.

As for the angelfish, they are too big to be swallowed, so it will leave them alone. Predators do not kill for fun. Arowanas also do not normally exhibit territorial behaviour towards other type of fish. So the angels should be safe.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    Re: Arowana Planted tank

i have ever saw an arrowana planted tank with 200 cardinals and the owner reported no loss on the cardinals.

From my experience, arrowanas in planted tanks are generally more peaceful and loving. But of course keeping the fish well fed and having an old fish helps.
