hi guys, yes im back.. simply cant bare to leave this wonderful hobby!
this time round not the usual mossy tank(though will still have moss) its more sliding towards high tech.. will be using certain stuffs i had never tried before.. going to be a very exciting journey for me!

    day 1 :

tank ready for set up anyday!

All-time favourite Substrate. GEX soil, its a pity that y618 didn't have the red pack when i went there.. i love the grain size of the red pack.

will update along as i go..

Well Cool to see you making a comeback! Hopefully you can stay long in this hobby. Hope to see your tank. What Floras and Faunas are in your head right now?

    Cheers!

chomp up my charcoal bamboo into tinier pieces, better filteration for the substrate.

Well i think that you need to slope your slope higher. Technically because when you add in water and start planting, the slope will generally will be affected. thus i recommand you to add some more gravel to make it steeper. Just my 5 cents.
    cheers

Or maybe you can "thin" the foreground a little (to get the same dramatic slope) without adding more soil which will ultimately result in lesser water volume and space for scaping.

Wow, you managed to come back into the hobby? I thought you said your parents will never let you have a tank again until your exams are over?

I don't think his parents have a choice... would they rather have a hobby-obsessed son or a totally miserable son?
