Finally, my UP's CO2 solenoid give way. My previous purchased industrial solenoid and valve could not fit; thus, I went to hunt for a total new CO2 regulator w/solenoid set.

I came across this OF (Ocean Free) CO2 regulator w/Solenoid and since I wanted a refresh look, I got this set. Not sure if it is reliable; but for now just enjoys. Cheers.

    One thing to add...

This OF's "magnetic" solenoid is the same one as the UP's. It does not get hot during operation. Without the heat; this solenoid should last I think. My previous UP's solenoid lasted about 8 years. One disadvantage is that this kind of solenoid is hard to get a replacement; unlike those normal industrial type which is easily available in the market.

Below, it a picture of the solenoid. The company whihc made the solenoid is Jin Beng Sun, anyone knows where to get it. Please advise if possible. Thanks.

Very neat design and compact. Is it expensive as compare to the normal regulator with solenoid?

So far, it seem like the needle valve is not very easy to adjust to the number of bubbles I wanted. I am trying hard to get to 1 bubbles per 2 seconds. Only managed to get to 1 bubble per sec.

Anyway, the needle valve adjustment should be as easy as my previous needle valve from UP's CO2 regulator. Both are using the same OEM part. Anyway, will try again.

The bubble counts run out again. It does not seem to keep stable output of CO2. Will adjust again and monitor.

crappy needle valve I guess? That is always the case for all these regulator system, they never have a good needle valve.

But it should be an easy fix if you know where to get a good replacement (needle valve) from those commercial plumbing places, which I also don't know where

The bubble stop totally went I reached home last evening. Seem like the needle valve is not easy to adjust for this set. Humm...my previous UP's needle valve which look similar to this OF's does not have such problem. Both valves has the word "J5". So I presume both are from the same source. Anyway, will monitor tonight.

UP also has the similar CO2 set which I had purchased. Not sure if any LFS carry it.

I'm researching for a cheap and reliable solenoid too... Found this site while googling around.
