    Bros,
Been super busy over the weekend.
    Anyway i just purchased a much thinner hose. (O.D. - I.D.)
    Just installed it.
Hope it works this time round.
Note: The below picture shows my previous hose (the thicker one) and the new hose (Thinner one)

    Re: Diy chiller

If you can maintain at 25-26 is really good enough. But the real test is done in a hot afternoon with lights on. Is you are getting 25C or so congrats.

I think 22C is really too cold for plants other the moss. Don't think you can keep normal fishes in this kind of temp.

    Re: Diy chiller

Bros. Just came back from work. Went up to my living space and it was horribly hot. Cause never open balcony door. No ventilation. Checked my temp, it was 26.8C. Previously this timing was around 27.8-28.5C.
So i guess the system is more or less stable.
Next step is to bypass the thermostat. Bro unclerobin will help me out. Right bro? ;P
Hopefully it will push down the temp by another 1 - 2C.
Afternoonwise i cannot monitor. But will monitor it during the weekend.
I am planning to keep crs. imagine how much i can save if this project really works out. Cause chiller is way expensive.

    Cheers.

    Re: Diy chiller

had to agree to bro Viper , 25-26c are good enough for planted tank but not very sure is it good for crs. for 22c the tank will sweat and will not be able to see clearly what's inside.
no problem bro Fabian just let me know your timing and i try to adjust to go over to by-pass your thermostat but you need to get ready a timer, btw i got an old timer can pass it to you if you don't mind used stuff.

Bro, what other things must i take note of?
By bypassing the thermostat, how much lower can the temperature go?

can't give you any answer for this till you bypass the thermostat,it depend on how big is your freezer and the wattage of the fridge
my diy project can be as low as 24c on my 3 footer tank in the morning

Ooh. just reached home from supper. visual check. T=26C. I on the light at around 9 and off it at around 1020pm. T reached 26.7 - 26.9C.
Bro unclerobin. What tools do you need for bypassing the thermostat? Soldering iron?
I can "borrow" from my workplace.
