Looks like the narrow leaf type. So nice! Now even nicer!! []
... always look at the bright side of life![]()
Simon,
its not the narrow type.
Nicky,
After pic is much nicer than the before. I especialy like wat you wave done with the Ludwigia sp. and the Eurocolon sp. (spell?). Wished can see more of your R.macranda, I'm sure it will look even better than now.
Really nice Simon but I bet it's very high maintenance too.
wat wave? that was plain lazy of me to sort them by height.. LOL, not really high maintenance, I only have to maintain every fortnitebut nevertheless fun , my quest now is to curb the growth of BBA
gchoo, thanks for breaking the news to me [] but I realise this R. macrandra doesnt look like the normal ones...
nicky, I prefer it to be neater[]
I like the after... much, much nicer... good job Simon.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
look very nice, colorful and a little dutchy.![]()
But seems to me the plants are planted quite closely, would it pose a problem in near future since most are fast grower? Or is it because of the angle taken?

lighting for now, defintely enough.. what I'm short of, is more space for plants.. see the pathetic space I have for my R. macrandra.. but wat to do when I like the ludwigia sp. so much
Simon,
Do you mind tell me your tank dimension and lighting you are using? I think your tank look superb....

tank dimension: 4x1.5x1.5ft
light: 6x36watts PL
i find my tank like a row of plants in the garden without any scaping.. boring rite?
Well, my tank of 4 year is of the same dimension but lack in the lighting department by 2 tubes. my tank is a open top tank. Right now, fighting BBA...sigh! I simply hate em![] Been fighting em for 6 months, right now, they gone to the gravel....not much left on the plants. But gravel remain infected....
Well, may consider adding more light.
BTW, really impressed with your tonina sp. in the tank.

most of my tonina at home splits at the top and become 3 or more small stems... i didn't cut them... why is this so? anyone exp the same thing? Can't seem to achieve the longy effect.. []

mine spiltting from the bottom, not the top.. which 'plants' u have, can show me?
Hey Simon,
The "after" effect is very nice, kind of like a garden/lawn effect. Don't see any BBA, seem under control.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
LOL, coz I did some serious cleaning up before taking the pic.. u have to see the tank personally to notice the BBA on the corkbark...
mine is the normal (belem?) one ... the narrow/needle leaf one did split from bottom...
