    hi all, anyone has strong recommendations for power heads? how does one know if what size of power head to use...tks

    Kel, so how do you gauge wat size of powerhead do you required? also where did you get your rena? tks

    well.. IMO, it really depends on what u want the powerhead to do.. for me, the main purpose is not to create strong waves or surges that the fishes or corals would like to have but rather, to ensure that there is not dead areas where water might "stagnate". thus, i do not use a very powerful one.. the smallest range if i'm not wrong.. abt $40++.. available in Rainbow and petmart.. got mine from petmart.

    i using maxi jet by aquarium systems

    its pretty small n powerful. 1200l/h.

    ex thought...going for $50 at keong siong

    i have 4 maxi jets in my 4x1.5x1.5
    really turbulent

    I am using this brand called Dolphin power head for my marine coral only and fish+coral IOS tanks. Quiet, low heat and lasting. Got a filter sponge inside to trap any waste in case the mechancial filter not working. Use it for i think got 2+ years already. Cheap and effective. Buy that time $22 at C328.
