I kinda like your old wood better... more dramatic. Do you dose any fertilizer for your moss?
Suggestions for consideration.
- wrap the intake of the filter with a thin layer of sponge. This is to prevent any baby prawns (if any) suck in to the filter.
- Control the amount of light by limiting the timing of the light. I believe these lamp are pretty warm, hence the water will be warm. Prawns need cold water to survive better. And also warm water with strong light will cause algae to grow pretty fast. The java moss will also grow better with cold water.
your old moss on wood all died ah?![]()
the old wood looks nicer, my opinion.
beetroot = Yup, my old moss almost all died off, maybe my light is not strong enough for it. The old wood looks nicer but it make my water turn yellowish.
allan_lau_uk = yup, did think of wrap the intake of the filter with thin layer of sponge, but so far, never see any shrimplet being suck into the filter, so the problem doesnt exist. I only turn on my light when iam in office, but i off from work, i will turn it off.
Jervis = Nope, did not fertilizer the moss, just let it be, scare my fertilizer might kill the shrimps.
