nope.. no limit..
what type of limitation are you referring to? Area, overall looks or what?
No of piece of DW. Mean if I put too many pieces it may kill the CRS?
if you are certain the driftwood does not release any chemicals into the water which may alter the water parameters, go ahead to introduce as many drifwood as you want. however, bear in mind that plants, moss are also necessary to provide alternate source of food and ample hiding space.
Do it right when you first setup the tank. What is your purpose, to do tankscaping or CRS keeping? It's difficult to do both, unless you're a seasoned CRS breeder.
Type of moss more depends on your preference. However some moss e.g. Taiwan moss grow faster than others.
You can either get a big piece of DW which can occur middle-left/right of your tank. Or have 2 relatively smaller pieces on both side of your tank.
Can tie moss onto your DW. At the end of the day, it's up to you to design the tank layout.
Personally I like DW which have many "caves" on it. It gives the shrimps place to hide and also give the setup a more 3D look.
If you are thinking of giving more hiding place, then you can have moss wall and tie thick layer of moss to your DW. Have them growing out thick. Your shrimps will have lots of place to climb and hide.
Choice of moss can go for xmas, peacock or willow which are more compact in terms of their branching of leaves.
My 2cents, hope it's useful.
