What is your tank set up like? Looks like your fishes are stress and refuse to eat
Hi all,
I recently had 3 zebra danios and 2 rosy barbs wiped out one by one all with the same symptoms. Now it has caught on with one of the serpae tetra.
Fish starts to slim down as if never eat - one zebra actually developed a 'neck'!. Whole body tilts at around 45deg upwards. Head moves from left to right as it waves its tail. Pectoral fins flap more or less synchronized with the tail movements. Appears to gulp but not from the water surface - not the case for all the fishes.
Any idea whats the problem?
Thanks

It's not stress... looks more like disease from the rapid slimming.
Try searching about fish TB or fish tuberculosis. Here and in Google, etc.
If you have cuts on your skin, Fish TB can cause... errr... growths if it's exposed to the water. Hasn't happened to me, but it was reported in AQ and can be found in the net as well.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Thanks for the info. Scary!
Forgot to add, the fishes died out one by one over a couple of months, not all at once.
They are my firsts fishes and I have just moved them out of my 1st tank today. Hopefully now with the bigger space they will do alright. Was quite cramped previously.
