HI! Wondering if fish tank like 3ft or 4ft can be used a room divider between the HDB main door and the living room. Meaning to say that when you opened the door you will see a fishtank and behind it is the living room. Below the fishtank which is the back of the fishtank cabinet (cabinet facing living room), we place a shoe rack.
Will this work like a mini balcony? It's a two sided fishtank.
Will it affect feng shui? New house in sengkang in couple of years to come.

One of the No No of positioning fishtank is to place it right next to a door. The frequent opening and closing of the door will shock the fish.

The distance between the Main door and the Fish tank should be about at least 4ft.

Re: 3/4ft Tank Cabinet as Room Divider

Look for a Fengshui master first..... I did look for one to advise me where I can place my new 4 ft tank as my current spot for my 3 ft tank is not suitable for 4 ft and above. Some places are not suitable to have too much water element depending on individual fengshui....

PM me if interested in looking for the master... I do not earn anything from the recommendation.

I agree. You will never know what will happen. Just like what my mum said " Do not place the stove area opposite the toliet. Fire against the water.
Actually for this thread, i just wish to see if anyone doing this setting at home.

My idea is just like seaview entrance. Main door opens and you will see a beautiful landscape with lots of CRS or cardinals tetra. In front of it is a shoe rack which can place a small plant.

The back of the tank is actually the front cabinet where a sump tank or external canister or chiller will place inside. Then 2 feets away, I can place a small dinner table with 4 chairs. Then another 5metres will be the sofa and the big tv.

Good thing about having the tanklight (moonlight or LED) is that it will act as a night light for going to the dark kitchen also.

If keep fish must consult feng shui, then i think many need to shift the tank already. Anyway, do not place tank near the door.

Ya, i agree as well. if we need to worry about feng shui, then you will have lots to ponder about. No live food.. No aggressive fish.. so on and so on..

I have done the extreme where alot of people think is a no no.
I kept 2 fish tank in my bed room, 1 is a 4ft and the other is a 3ft tank.

I would say, dont believed it in the first place then nothing will happen.
If you start to explore fengshui, then whatever happen, you will link to your beloved fish tank.

my 2 cents worth of advice.
