Thanks guys, am collecting items for the next scape. Hopefully can do up a wild look, like those under water branches with a bit dark water and strong flow water. My ideal also will be half fill tank water.
haha Jervis you also get tempted and influence very easily.
And thus your project also tempt us to start another tank too.
Cheers.

Lots of nice tanks with data by Takashi Amano here.

Hmm... I prefer to buy the Suikei myself. I have the amazon version and its real great. Have lots of pictures taken underwater of the shores of amazon where you see pictures of cardinal, altums etc in their real surrounding. I found my inspiration through that book. While got it from Midori last year the bad point is just that the book is in japanese you can understand it and with that, you only can just flip through the pages with your imagination.

I feel that sometimes its better to look at at a picture book without understanding the words as you can draw your own conclusion and interpretation yourself. Its not completely a bad thing, but understanding the words and your interpretation of the pictures could be affected by Amano's thoughts.

You want wild like that is it? Personally I really love this tank. If you want can also add some floating plants.

This is how I consider as "jungle feel" in a planted tank.

This is what I don't consider as "jungle feel".

I think it has something to do with empty space... the most space you have surrounding your scape, the less "jungle" it feels.
Although this tank is very densely planted, the back is too manicured to be considered "jungle".

That's just my interpretation anyway. Hope it helps![]()
wow thanks, many pictures to see and learn.
so i guess to get the jungle feel, there must be some form of organized mess of plants?
