    I have a question regarding nanas. have any one tried chopping nana (in its root segment) into a few sections to plant?

    yes. That the way we propagate them. Just make sure you 4 or more leaves in each rhizome section that you cut.

    ya once the rhizome is long enough, just cut it and replant it to another rock.

    Like shadow mention, at least 4 leaves for each rhizome.

    I started off with a few pots of nana petite... hmm... now at least 200 over stalks of nana petite in my 2 ft tank.
