Crabs might treat your shrimps as food.

you can try heterothelphusa fatum. i am keeping it with a few shrimps and it is normally too slow to catch the shrimps. it catches the shrimps only once in a blue moon.

The freshwater spider crabs, Limnopilos naiyanetri, are fully aquatic and are really rare and hard to find. I think you will need to import them from overseeas. There are exporters from Thailand and Indonesia.

    Good luck.

I wonder why these crabs are not more popular / available. Are they hard to keep?

They shouldnt be too hard to keep i guess, what I know is they are hard to find in the wild. So supply of this crab is limited with most if not all ending up in Europe.
