mr Stan, i was discus hobbies for 2 years before that fish out of control breed 40-50 juve(strain marlboro) every month. I jump to this hobby when i see some amano tank in website
, and than with my idiot formula (see my signature
) i start this hobby and procure H202 instead of metronidazol

I think i and everyone else here thought you meant you were new to the hobby of fish in general, not the side of planted aquarium speciality.

Very nice natural/wild scape! Try pasting some black oyama paper at the back of the tank to hide the equipment and 'cozy' up the tank
And congratulations to your galaxies breeding! Do you remember where the eggs were scattered? Trying to breed mine too (:
Nice.
Love it.
ty,
i have no idea where they put the egg...all i know when a pair of galaxy start chasing each other (priceless scene) and than 1 week later i see some tinny fish
. It's also happen in my 200 ltr tank. Really easy to breed this fish as long as we can choose right companions for this fish, mine only with sulawesi shrimp, red cheery, rcs, oto, boraras, and coridoras pygnea.

you have a nice scape. you willow tree look very nature..
Wow I didn't know they breed so readily! I'm still hoping mine will do the same soonPerhaps my tank conditions are not comfortable enough, with high lighting and CO2 injection.
Anyway, all the best for your scape! I'm sure it will look even nicer when the moss grows out!![]()
Yes, it brings you a step closer to nature even in the comfort of your home. Thanks for sharing.

awesome! the kind that i will like! how did you get so much willow mosss and its growing so well at room temp? couldn't get so much nice mosses for the messy natural look so went ahead with java moss
Beautifull
ty,
yeah this kind of moss still rare in my country too, maybe now i am the only one supplier in my city. Well It's realy growing fast in my aquarium since i put it close to lamp (36 watt in 60 ltr), in that position the main problem is how we can manage hair algae and BBA. BBA was spread very fast since they will dying 1st for aclimating (looks yelowish or black) when i put it in new setting aquarium (<2 weeks). So my 1st suggestion is just put it in semi mature aquarium (>1 month) for aclimating (till produce new branch). If we survive this stage than we will fight the hair algae
in this case i really depend on 3% H2O2 and water change. When this plant already in fast phase create new branch ( its rare to see more than 1 inch willow without new branch) dont worry about algae, just watch ur CO2 and micro fertiliser if u see new branch looks (yellowish or red).
BTW my room temperature 30-36 C (Jakarta). and i use fan for creating 26-28 C in my aquarium.
note : all i write above based my own experience with low tech (DIY). I see my friend even use chiller not success with this plant. Maybe i just lucky.
