My pair of apisto i brought from Gan (specially hand selected by Simon *heheheh*), the male one I think got the "full" color already, very light colored body with nice yellow edges on the fin.

The female one is very dark in color because the male one is very aggressive, it has taken a small corner in my ft (just below the reactor and behind the tall hair grass). The male one chases away all other fish (including the female) that ventures into his terroritory, i'd like to know if this is normal??? Someone can advise? scared the female get killed.

weileong, its fine.. when they r not breeding, usually they r fighting.. yes, sometimes, the victim die from stress.. thats y i suggest a big tank instead of a small one..

benny, dun worry, we can try to promote the fish.. if it doesnt work the first time, we can keep trying

A problem I find with apisto is that they can be extremely picky about their food. When there are competitions its still ok but many times when I'm breeding a pair in a single 2 ft tank thay become very picky with their food. There was a time the ONLY thing the pair would eat was bbs. All the bld worms, tubifex worms were chewed then spitted out.[] Thats was really expensive, imagine how much bbs they need to eat and the cost.
