An update on where things stand with Goldie Haven. Did a lot of pruning and plant removal the other day. Also added a bit of plant life and moved others.... Feedback/comments welcome!

    Nice.

I'm curious, what filter are you using, and does your goldfish uproot the plants?

    Thank you

    Filters....
    External: Whisper 300GPH power filter
Internal: undergravel bio filter power by powerhead @ 120 GPH

And no, the Goldfish couldn't possibly uproot the plants -- they have very deep & extensive roots. The substrate layer is also very thick/deep. This aquarium was really designed around the Goldfish specifically, so that the plants would thrive & the fish wouldn't be able to disturb them.

No, they don't. Not even the odd leaf that comes loose.

I've noticed the rarity of the concept, too. I think that's what keeps me posting the photos even where the concept might not be well accepted

I'm glad you liked the photos! Thank you for the compliments....

Thank you It only seemed appropriate that a sunken castle should have plants growing all over it
