wow !!! sorry I am so sorry
by the way I am using DIY CO2 ( 3set ) for my planted tank
- There's some base fertilizers from JBL
- 2 different moss tied on separate DW ( Taiwan moss and Xmas moss )
- lighting 2 x36w
- Substrate ( No involve )
- There's - Riccia / Tiger Lotus /nana / and some other plants I'm also not sure about the name
- Pls advise
Please provide a full tank picture shot from the front. It will make it easier to comment.
I noticed some discus. In a 5ft tank is ok but waste management is more heavy than usual.
What's the temperature you're maintaining?
You can if you dare to fail - Stan Chung

the shrimps will be food for your discus..
You may want to consider increasing the plant mass by 10 times

thanks for the ideas and suggestion ...
btw if i increase the plants to 10 times ... Will it affect my light and co2 ?
The temperature is around 28-30

your light probably too low for 5ft tank.
I agree, it's too little light.
The 72W' is just enough for a 2ft tank!
What is the dimension of your tank? 5X1.5X1.5? You'd need about 180W-360W. More if the height is taller.
Tank bred juvenile discus normally don't go after shrimps.

okie understood wil try to increase my light to higher then 72w and see the result
will update once i am increase my plants - Just bought some plant from Teo's farm yesterday
Brian, you may want to plan your plants according to your setup, equipments and etc. Because lighting and temperature will play a part. 72W can still keep moss if you drive the temperature down. It is still nice to see a moss tank afterall![]()

Moss and discus are IMO a poor combination. One likes low temp one doesn't. I mean you can use Java/Spiky moss but it looks stringy & brownish at 28-30C.
With discus around the moss also tends to soak up dirt.
Just speaking from experience.
No harm trying but after awhile you may find it is uphill battle.

Much larger driftwood and low-light plants like Java Ferns (good for filling up large tanks!) and regular mosses will do the trick.
