I need some help to ID this algae. Have been looking around but nothing really quites fit the bill. Looks like hair algae to me but not really sure.

It normally clings onto the moss and I remove them manually.

    Thanks for the ID guys.

Am trying to eradicate now but there does not seem to be many threads that deals with Hair Algae specifically but quite alot on BBA.

Have tried SAE and yamatos but they help very little.

Trying Seachem Excel now and the levels seem to have dropped after about a week. Will continue and monitor.

Trying to find out where I can get 20-50 Malayans to fix the algae issue for me now... trouble is that alot of LFS now bag it in 100's.

I may try cherries if I cannot get malayans at a good price as I have breeding tanks of cherries.

Only managed to get the last bag of 30 malayans. Brought home and found out that the actual quantity was less than 20. don't think its enough for my tank. Will go again another time... hopefully they'll stock up soon.
