The tank condition is definitely different. For this reason, the color is not the same. Likely is pH. (you mentioned - feeding well and not stressed)

Hi,
I have some Frontosa in my tank for almost 2 weeks which I bought from Seaview. They are feeding well and living okay. But the body colour seems like very dark (in between the stripes) when I went down to seaview today and see the comparsion between mine and those that was left over. What could be the possible cause? I had not used any PH up.. could that be a casue?
Thanks.

This is a very vague post.
Firstly, are these wild caught or captive bred/farmed fish?
How many did you buy, and what age/size are the fish? What size is the tank, what is providing the filtration system, hiding places, pH, nitrates, ammonia etc.
All these bits of information are very helpful in helping solve peoples problems.
Currently keeping many wild betta species and other anabantoids.
I had no problems with my 2 frontosas. They are still juvenile. Bought them at $12 ea. They look very pale from the aquarium and once I added to mine, its back to their normal colours. How much did you buy yours?
