most fertilizer are good, it is just how you dose it.

How about Wondergro? How to dose?
The trick for good HC growth are enough lighting, softer water, finer substrate particle (better still if you use nutritious soil substrate like ADA), enough CO2.
Addition of liquid fert is a must for plain substrate use and still beneficial on soil substrate.
Wonder-gro liquid fert is one complete set/range of nutrition. Provided you can adjust your tank condition, it should supply ample food for your HC. You just press the pump accordingly and let it squirt, dissolving by itself within the tank.
Other ferts will also work, if you give sufficient kind (complete set) and quantity.
HC loves CO2, gives them enough CO2 and they will grow crazily.![]()

Can try using Monster Roots condensed fertiliser...its a solid form one made up of little balls of green brown thing

@madnugget
how to transfer it to the soil without everything floating up to the top? i mean secure it on the soil

u can try planting it in emerse form 1st if ur tank isnt already filled.this can prevent algae and there wun be any water to make it float up. when the roots go in the soil liao then fill back water...but if ur tank alreay filled up..hav to use tweezers slowly plant ...then sprinkle abit of soil on it to weight it down
tatguy,
if i just remove the HC from the mesh, then using soil to weigh them down without using tweezers to plant them bunch by bunch, will their roots go into the soil by themselves over time? My tanks already filled up with water.
