Hi all bro,

Does CaNo3 harm plant? for what i understand is Ca = Calsium and NO3 = Nitrate?

I accidentally dose 3 teaspoon of CaNo3 into my 70 litre tank lol!!! so base on the APC fertilator, i will get approx 108ppm of Nitrate + 34ppm of Calcium!

108ppm of Nitrate <- it is consider super overdose lol!!!

My mistake , the HC leaf look like getting dark green, and sort like getting darker hmmm...

Take note not to over do the water changes.
I would do at most 50% water change, add some activated carbon for now.
Give it a day or two before doing another smaller percentage water change. You don't want to shock / kill your livestock in the process.

Hi all bro,

i notices that, even at 108ppm of Nitrate , the CRS are not dying lol!!!

But algae start to boom hmmm..

I have a CO2 tank + 72W T5 + 55W PL + 70 Litres + Eheim 2213 filter.

The HC is sort like melt out, sort of like hmm dark green and getting dark and grey color? Is that due to the temp or overdose? Now the weather in KL is super hot now!

However, my tank temp is approx 28 to 29 celcius with fan running 24/7. hmmm..

Anyway, i just change 30% of the water and stop dosing anything at the moment hmmm...

bossteck recommendation is good. Bag some active carbon and place them inside the tank.
