The one on top of the stack with pattern on the face. Has anyone else find them in their Fire Red pool?

    Re: Has anyone come across

I have a dark blue cherry shrimp.
The shrimp looks like any other cherry shrimp, they are mosly red, only difference they have lots of dark blue pigmentation.

According to my friends, it was prolly due to cross bred while in LFS or something.

I don't have fire red shrimps BTW.

Haha I have Sakuras that has faint black markings like those on the shrimp in the middle but not the black patches shown. I think you have a mutant in your hands Silane. Congrats!

Hey Acit I won't so easily dismiss it as a crossbreed. I haven't come across a neocaridina with dark blue pigmentation yet. You may trully have a one of a kind

Would be great to see it

I see, maybe that is a way to create "new" shrimp.

    Re: Has anyone come across...

Why do you think they have to look like fishoman's or even has to be better then his?

Those shrimps photo were taken within 15 minutes after acclaimised them in the tank after many hours of travel, the color appear to be paler is not suprising. The males, color has improved. In fact, the males are in 極火蝦 category. Males are known to be lighter in color and younger ones are also lighter in color. So you can imagine what color can a very young male look like??

These are bred by 李济台先生, he call them 火焰蝦 and 極火蝦. He recently won 1st in this category in 1st International Shrimp Championship held in Germany.

Just can't resist myself to get a few hundreds of them, the price is as cheap as Malayan shrimps in Singapore.

Will the photo look different if I choose all the thick color ones (aged and big size ones) to put them in the tank and take photo on them? And will the color look more intense if I take under expose photo then use software to increase the brightness and contrast??

Maybe, they just breed a lot, in the bags there are over 200 shrimplets hatched and even more in the tank. At this rate, has to get rid of them humanely.
