An undemanding plant . Not for small tanks, this plant grows extremely long tape like leaves that which will have to be pruned from time to time. Otherwise this is a trouble free plant that grows well in almost any aquarium conditions.

i think the other guys can give better & more advises... especially those 'lao jiao' who is lurking ard []

According to Mr Teo , the neame is Crinum Aquatica and I think it looked
like the 1st picture.

thats Crinum calamistratum... think a few of u bought this plant that day.. i think Kenzo have tried this b4.. kenzo any comments?

hi, had it for more than a year, b4 it melted mysteriously a few months back. quite an easy plant(b4 it melted ). monsterous root system. don't quite understand your question abt how to plant. just bury the bulb in the gravel will do. below is the last pic i have of the plant taken abt a yr back. the leaves was >2' long when straighten. more suitable for >4x2x2 tanks.

I read in some websites saying that the bulb should not be completely buried into the gravel.
What I want to know is that, should the bulb be buried 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 into the gravel.

Well... just bury the bulb with abit of the white portion showing out... I bought mine 6 months ago and the leaves or whatever you call it is about 2 1/2 feet long... So your tank probably need to be at least 3 feet
