    Hey zongwei,

    In general water plants that are tied on bogwood include ferns and mosses, which are slow growing, requiring little maintainance in long run. Could share what plants you have on your wood. Mosses intake their nutrients via the water itself, thus no soil required. As for them not growing, they may require cooler waters to grow faster and greener. Basic liquid fertilizers such as Wondergro range is very good for planted tanks

    For anubias sp : it can grow attached on wood or rock, taking nutrient from water. However, it would grow a lot better when having access to substrate and bottom nutrition.
