Has this crab ever been available in the Singapore LFS?

These crabs are fully aquatic. They eat the same kind of food as dwarf shrimp, and are safe to keep with dwarf shrimp and plants. They do not eat plants as they are scavengers. You can keep them at 24-27C no problem.
Let me know if you have any other questions about this crab, and I will try to answer them for you.
Here is a pic I took the other day to demonstrate the actual size of these crabs.

The very largest size is not shown, as it is rare to find the XL sized ones. The females can start producing eggs at the Med to large size, same as dwarf shrimp!

The babies are free swimming type?

Folks, please kindly keep Marketplace type of posts (buy/sell etc) in the Marketplace forums. Thanks!
What do you mean by free swimming? The baby is very small, larva like in appearance but still looks like a crab. It can be seen close to the glass, but fish will eat it if they see it. I have not bred this crabs yet, I am still studying their breeding cycle.

They have a larva. I still am not sure on how the larva develops, it may develop in freshwater entirely like some shrimp species.

Hello there
Yes, they seem to have pelagic larvae – if these are freshwater larvae and can develop to little crabs we do not know yet for sure. But we know from three keepers at least where zoea were hatched – no full developed mini crabs.
Science doesn't know either. Peter K.L. Ng, who first described the species, noted relatively big eggs which indicates a direct or short development as in freshwater crabs – but obviously it can't be a complete abbreviated development but only a shortened one with maybe only one larval stage.
Cheerio, BEASTIE ;-)
CRABS, Crayfish, Shrimp, Land hermits, Mussels & Snails, Dragons, Snakes and more in some 40 tanks
I will let everyone know in a month or two more about their development. I have a few females with eggs which I have separated already.
