Hi, thinking of upgrading my T5 lights to the ATI fixtures (4 X 24w).
I will be using them for planted 2ft tank thats almost 2 ft deep. Currenly using a Solite 4 x 24w with individual reflectors, which is not bad a light fixture but lacks the quality and cooling functions of the european fixtures. As i would prefer the T5s over MH, shopping around did'nt yield much options.

So any Bros here with experience using the ATIs (for planted)? Isit worth its money ? Kindly share your experience.

If you're going for ATI lightset, might as well get their PowerModule model.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

The powermodule rocks is all I can say. The individual reflectors are amazing to say the least and the speed adjustable cooling fans works wonders for tube longevity.

why doesn't you try using ATI tubes on solite?

i'm using 2ft solite and 3ft ATI powermodule. can't really tell the differences since both tanks are low tech. But ATI definately has better quality. the tubes are more lasting too

Yes the powermodules definitely looks more sexy with 1 more fan. But thats more than $150 more. Hmmm.

From what i read from the web the reflectors are the same silver coated ones. Casing is Steel(heavy) instead of aluminum ones. Both share the same cooling technique. Not really worth the extra money in my opinion.
