I picked up 9 Y. splendida yesterday and they are stunning fish, I managed some early pic's when I got them home (not the best as still in bags):

These were expensive but well worth it.

Thank you for the replies.

The splendida had been very shy for the first week that I have had them, they have been active and feeding but only behind the rockwork in the tank. So knowing that there is a very good chance they had encountered Pearl Danio's in the wild I went and got a shoal of 10 last week.

To say the change in the splendida is massive is an understatement, all nine fish were out swimming at the front of the tank together within hours of the danio's going in the tank:

Knowing our track record, it begs the question...

when can we expect to see some baby splendida?

also, have you noticed any interspecific aggreesion? mine really tore apart some horned garra.

I picked these up through a friend of mine who owns Pier Aquatics here in the UK, seeing as it was the first time they had ever been shipped I thought it wise to get a few.

Funny you should mention spawning............

Only joking but I do have 4 fish that have filled out a lot more than the other 5 and the 5 smaller/slimmer fish have been busy digging pits in amongst the cobbles so who knows

When I first added the group of pearl danios to the tank some of the danios did have some nasty nips out of their fins but I couldn't be 100% sure it was from the other danios or the loaches, the danios are the only other fish in the tank with the splendida and the loaches very often can be seen (before the lights go on) swimming around with the danios and doing no harm what so ever, there is very little aggression between the splendida now, plenty of clicking and some minor squabbles but nothing nasty.
