Hi bros, just curious to know, I've got 5 sakuras from C328 which are really red, and they came with lots of baby shrimp. I put them into a nano tank on my desk, which has direct sunlight coming through during the day and can reach 30deg. Tankmate is 1 oto(and previously one apisto caca but he passed on last weekend). I thought they are similar to cherries, I had good exp breeding cherries but these guys have no action!

All females perhaps? Thanks for reading!

    Cheers
    Sam

Sakuras like cherries, matured females tend to be red.So if the whole lot you bought are red..then chances are they are all females.Usually the case since people would only wan red specimens.

another reason is the temperature of your tank. 30deg? is too high bro. needa do something abt the temp. max temp to go for sakuras should be 27-28.

i have the same problem, bought sakuras with shrimplets. but once i put in the tank, the shrimplets dont seem to be able to survive, see them swimming 1 day and gone the next. I suspect is the PH, think they require rather low PH.. any ideas anyone?

Sakuras sold in lfs are usually all females.

I bought a bag that included 3 shrimplets. They all survived and grew to adulthood, one of which is male. That was how I manage to breed them.

Sakuras do well in pH around 7

    Probably all are females.
