proper way to growth marimo moss balls?

hi all, back to the so called noob plant the almight never say die marimo moss balls. ran through some pics of lake akan where marimo moss balls were found and I noticed the texture of the natural marimo is spiral which looks really great compred to lfs selling marimo which is protruding outwards.

recall that algae makes use of the uv spectrum not found in pl lights so the correct way to grow proper marimo is to use uv lighthing? anyone ? need answers!

i grow them with coralife compact mini 50-50
its doing fine so far

i read somewhere that the growth rate of moss ball is verryyyy sloww.. very hard to notice a change within a short time

Yup very very very very slow. Bout 2mm per year? Don't quote me though.
