Love this forum. So many nice people and so many information for newbie like me

Got so many info from here to make my own DIY fan cooler. Well just to share with others how i did mine.

    Setup
    Tank : 2ft x 1ft x height not sure
    Filter : OHF
Plants : java moss, trying to find xmas moss to grow
creatures : cherry barb, otto, placo, cherry shrimps
Mine is a low tech tank.

    Stuff for DIY Fan Cooler
    - AC to DC adaptor
    - 2 x PC fan
    - some cable tie
    - black tape

    Condition of tank
temp before fan install : 30deg
temp after fan install : 27deg

As my tank as little space on top. i used the bottom of my OHF base to attach my fans. As you can see four dots. Two dots on top for 1 x fan two dots at bottom for 1 x fan. Wanted to put a third fan but it would be too near the OHF outlet (water will spoilt the fan)

Got two fan from near by computer shop. Its very quiet so it does not stress the little creatures in the tank. the fan also indirectly cools my lamp as it circulates the air on the water surface.

its completed but have no time to take more pictures of the project. Will update after my exams.

found another useful thing... my OHF outlet i used it to disfused my DIY CO2. I just inserted my CO2 outlet into the exit where the water flows back into my tank and it helps to spread the CO2 around.

Does a pretty good job and don't need to attach another thing into the tank making it more congested with pipes. Will take some pictures to post during the weekend.

Well wanted to keep my tank as a Low-tech tank but all my moss not growing well so i tried CO2 and it works within 3 days.
