Just wondering does L046 do well in a fully planted tank? are they hard to breed?

    Re: L046 enquiry

L046 are pretty tolerant of pH.
Its the temperature that matters most.
If your planted setup can get away with a temperature of 27/28 C the L046 should be able to adapt to it.
In fact, the fry/juvenile of L046 has a "vegetarian diet" tendency.

To sum it, temperature is the key for them to stay in a planted setup.

There are two parts of questions and Irwin had answered to the first one. For the second question, indeed they are very hard to breed. But with patience, it is possible.
