Just bought a UV light and put it in my sump tank next to the return pump.
Do I need to on the UV all time? Does UV light help to treat disease in the tank too? For example, if let's say there are itch and white spot on fish, besides adding the medication and on the heater, does UV light helps to cure it faster?

Yes, I have green water problem previosly, then I install UV light and water is crystal clear now. For bacteria infection , I have no idea, if it is effective.
