Strange - my Echinodorus bleheri mother plant also recently sprouted baby plants only for the 3rd or 4th time time in the last 10 years.
BTW - I have seen different flowers from my Sagittaria subulata. Could suggest male and female?

Hi all
Probably a silly question. Are there such things as male or female plants?
Reason I am asking is because I have a bunch of Amazon Sword plants and for years, I did not have any adventitious plants...but suddenly this week, I saw a stalk of adventitious nodes growing towards the surface of the water and splitting into a few stalks from that single stalk.
The same goes for my giant stalk of Enchinodorus osiris. It started to sprout more than 5 stalks of adventitious plants. Furthermore, one of the plantlets already growing a stalk of adventitious stalk...it is very very strange.
So is it because I got a female plant??![]()
