Do you have any fishes that might be fin nippers? Puffers, barbs etc?
Took some pictures of my fish.
Esp the cories, can't tell if it is fin-rot or being nibbed off by other fish?

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Hi Benny,
I don't have any puffers or barbs. However, I have recently introduced a skunk loach and had some platys. Dun know if they are the culprits.
I have tried to remove the skunk loach but that fellow is really hard to catch! Sneeky little fellow!

If it is fin rot, apart from receding finage, the fins should also look thinner than usual. Small holes will appear for severe cases (seen this once on my crowntail betta).

Just checking... are you using RO water or something like that?

Pardon me BCLee, but I dun really know what RO (Reverse Osmosis) water is.

So I guess you are not using a reverse osmosis filter for your tap water...
It remove the minerals from the water. These cause some osmotic problem with fishes and cause their fins to melt away.

Hi BCLee,
Just read up some articles on RO.
Well, I dun think I am using RO. Water from the tap goes straight into the tank.
