    I have a planted shrimp tank where I have lots of tiny white insect like creature.........they are insect or shrimplets???

    Eh...you need to post some pics for us to see. Anyway the shrimplets if seen close enough will look like replicas of the adults.

    if you cannot identify them as baby shrimp, then most probably its some other unwanted pest..

    I think it could be seed shrimps! Those tiny white dots are very irritating..

    bro, it might be damsi fly. i used to have them. they crawl around and with a spilt tail. pretty similar to a shrimp. you need to control yr feeding.

    I have small white bugs in my tanks, I found a very effective way to get rid of them. I borrowed 2 baby guppies from my colleague and stirred the plants, and walls of tank. They attempted to peck at my new-born shrimplets, but their mouth too small, so very safe for my shrimplets. The guppies did a fantastic job over the weekend, and cleared the tank of these white bugs (I think they are fleas). Anyway, just to share.

    Hi, you are right...I saw a lot of the adult now....had to remove manually...

    There are likely to be water fleas or seed shrimp

    you have to kill them one by one. do it fast as they will feast on the shrimplets. have fun "killing" them

    sure, I see them, I will kill them......but there are many babies of them
