How do you keep the HC moist all the time w/o drying during the emmerse period? Do you have any misting system in it?
Everything should be made as simple as possible...but not one bit simpler.

U simply wrap some kind of wrapping material over the top of your tank so the damp soil wont dry up. It's a simple case of evaporating and the droplets you see on the glass tank is simply condensation which must have led you to think theres some kind of misting system. Wet the tank and the soil sufficiently before wrapping.

I am beginning to see the benefits of growing HC or Glosso emersed since I've seen it failed on me some time ago having implanted them in the substrate when submersed.

Think it's the only way to cultivate it to such an expanse of beautiful lawn w/o being too exceedingly difficult. I'm already hooked on this idea been toying with it for quite awhile so watch out for this space....

i think the difficult part is to have the patience to resist the temptation to add water/fauna and leave the tank empty.
    great job

Actually it is not too diffcult for me as I enjoy plant more than fish. It is exciting see them growing everyday even though without water and fauna.

How long does it take to cover the whole tank if using the emersed method?

Also when you add water, won't the leaves started to turn yellowish and fall off to change to aquatic form?

It took me 5 weeks to cover 95% of the whole area but of course I planted them tightly with a few leaves for ever cm apart. During the first 2 weeks of emerse, about 10-20% of the leaves turn yellowish or brownish and die off. After the 3rd week everything goes well even after water is added.
