Rocket fish spotted

Saw a couple of these at Soon Heng at Bukit Merah.
Think they are $1.50 each , really cute looking.
Might interest some of you , esp for putting in planted tank

Erm dont think its pencil fish leh .. its somewhat like the BB goby , only that its longer , the yellow is more a dull yellow.
Its labelled rocket fish there.

art, r u referring to the clown killie?, they r known as Rocket panchax check the database for it.. tiong bahru always has them at $1 each if thats the fish

Ya thats the one but the color in the photo like cannot make it compared with the ones i saw at soon heng , much more vibrant color

I saw some at Rainbow last week. They are about 4-5 cm long,pencil-like body and basically silver in color. They are labelled as Rocket fish there. Not sure if it is the same kind you are talking about?

These fishes need a pretty large tank as they tend to "zip" around the tank like rockets. They can be pretty impressive in a school. []

ya, but I didnt see them during my last visit there, Ben refer them as very sellable fishes...
